Frequently Asked Questions

Q

Can I earn & use CE credits after August 1, 2013?

A

Yes. RECO has four possible streams for registration renewal between August 1, 2013 and July 31, 2015. If you have taken the OREA RECO Real Estate Update Residential or Commercial course prior to August 1, 2013, you can complete your renewal as in the past with 18 CE credits earned from approved education providers such as REAS Group. Alternatively, you can take the RECO mandatory course on-line and use 18 CE credits carried forward or earned from approved education providers such as REAS Group. Please see the education section of the RECO web site for details.

Q

Can I repeat any course that I have taken?

A

Yes, as long as you do not repeat them in the same 2 year registration cycle.

Q

How soon after I have re-registered can I begin my next 24 credits?

A

The day after your registration is renewed. Please note that as of August 1, 2013 continuing education requirements for renewal have changed, see the RECO web site for details.

Q

Code of Ethics and Real Estate Update are they the same course?

A

Please note that RECO Real Estate Update is not available after July 31, 2013. In its place RECO offers a mandatory on-line course, see their web site for details.

No. Real Estate Update is 6 credits / 6 hours. This is a compulsory course. We offer the course on our Seminar Cruises or you may register through OREA at 1-888-333-5535. (Without this course you may not be able to renew your registration.)

Q

I misplaced a certificate from a REAS Group seminar, how do I get a replacement?

A

We do not re-issue credit certificates. If you have taken a subsequent REAS Group course the bottom two thirds of that certificate will contain a full transcript showing all courses you have taken with REAS Group. You may also send us an email (info@reasgroup.com) requesting a transcript.
